Legacy

The Heart of the Community Foundation was created to honor the faith and compassion of Bishop Elijah Miller Sr. and Pastor Betty Miller. For them, community was always about people — children, families, and seniors who deserved dignity, hope, and love.

Guided by their example, their children now continue this work, keeping God at the center and service at the heart. What began as their personal ministry of kindness and outreach has grown into a family-led foundation dedicated to carrying forward their legacy of faith and service.

Though the foundation is new, its heart is generations old — rooted in love, strengthened by family, and devoted to community.
